NBAA charges all its fees to either members or students registered with the board. All people are required by Law to register with NBAA for them to work as accountants and/or auditors any where in Tanzania. Also NBAA conduct examinations every year in May and November for students aspiring to acquire accountancy professional. Therefore NBAA charges various fees to those two groups, members and students.

FEES CHARGED TO STUDENTS
There are four types of fees payable by students to the Board:

Registration Fee: is normally payable upon submission of duly completed Candidacy Registration Form. As evidence of registration, a student will be given a Candidacy Registration Number (CR.NO.) and an identity card bearing that number.

Exemption Fee: This fee is paid by students who are been exempted from sitting some examination levels due to their qualifications as they are recognized by NBAA.

Candidate’s Annual Subscription Fee (SASF): is payable, for those who are registering with the Board for the first time, upon registration, and thereafter every January of each year. This fee is payable annually by every candidate as long as he/she is registered as a candidate with the Board. The fee ceases to be payable when one completes ATEC/CPA programme in full, or ceases to be registered as a candidate with the Board for whatever reason.

Examination Fee. This fee is payable upon submission of duly filled in Examination Entry Form applying for a particular examination Level.

Examination fees paid are normally not refundable. Withdrawal from writing an examination on or before the closing dates (15th March and 15th September) is allowed, but fees will be carried in full to the next immediate examination diet. Withdrawal due to medical grounds is allowed during examination week but only the percentage of the examination fee will be carried forward to the next immediate examination diet. Withdraws on medical grounds must be supported by medical reports certified by an approved medical practitioner. All examination fees carried forward are valid in the next immediate examination diet, thereafter if the candidate did not write the examination, such fees are forfeited.

No examination fee will be refunded or carried forward to the next examination session if a candidate withdraws after the closing dates of examination entry or fails to appear for the examination.

FEES CHARGED TO REGISTERED MEMBERS
The following are fees payable by NBAA members to the Board:

Application for registration process Fee: is normally paid to cover the costs of application forms and processes of application for people seeking to be registered by the board in various categories of membership.

Members’ Annual Subscriptions Fee: is payable by registered members to the board. The fee rates are different for different member category and nationality.

Members are required to settle their outstanding annual subscription fee within the first three months of the year in question. Failure to pay the fees by the said date will jeopardize their registration status.

Members who wish to pay their annual subscription fees directly into bank account or through Postal Order are advised to send the particulars of money paid and the bank pay slips to the Executive Director of NBAA.

Penalty fees for re-registration. This fee is payable by members who have been de-registered due to their failure of paying their fees promptly as required by the board.
