CPE HOURS TO BE CLOCKED BY
REGISTERED MEMBERS
The NBAA Governing Board in its 112th meeting approved the establishment of a
Quality Review Scheme and the introduction of a Mandatory CPE Scheme which became
operational w.e.f. 1st January, 2001.
The mandatory CPE Scheme entail the following:
• Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (CPA-PPs) – 40 hours
• Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) – 30 hours
• Graduate Accountants (GAs) – 30 hours
• Accounting Technicians (AT) – 20 hours
Previously, CPA-PPs were required to clock in 60 hours, CPAs – 40 hours while there
was no requirement for CPE hours for GAs and ATs.
